UN Youth Queensland is a divisional body of UN Youth Australia - a national youth-led educational organisation focused on upholding the purposes and principles of the United Nations. We are run entirely by young people, for young people.
The organisation encourages young people to strive towards a greater understanding of global issues, and educates them about the United Nations' structure, functions and future. Further, UN Youth Australia aims to develop students' skills in vital areas such as debating, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving and understanding of international affairs in an accessible and supportive environment.
By encouraging young people to discuss and debate important issues amongst their peers and the broader community, UN Youth Australia gives voice to the concerns of young people.
UN Youth Queensland run several activities each year including:
1. Youth Conferences
2. Model UN Style Debating Competitions and Events
3. Overseas Travel
4. Workshops in Schools
